It was a cold night. He took the train down to South Kensington, dressed in the trademark t-shirt and worn out jeans, boots and leather jacket, permanently on loan from a friend he lost contact with long ago.
Giving the lyrics a once over he memorises them while listening to a few choice tracks blasting away on full while the tunnel eats away the stations to his destination. He passes by the intersection walking faster than most in long, laid-back strikes as his hair covers his face, he nonchalantly thrusts his hands into his coat pockets and concentrates on the music. Out of the station he heads down to the practice rooms, next to the Royal Albert Hall and opens the usual door as the band all stand there, instruments in hand, they start to warm up as he takes off his jacket and adjusts the microphone. Holding his breath slightly he looks up at the worn out ceiling, gives a smirk as the guitars sing together, bassline colliding with the drum beat and takes the last free breath he has
