I'm a composer, songwriter, improv accompanist (and occasional improviser), and vaudeville comedian....not paying for this site, so you can locate other manifestations of my folly at the place with Cupid's name (I'm SiberianMoon)...

I'm a bit reclusive, but when I go out I like a symphony, a ballet, an opera, a burlesque & vaudeville show (and on a very rare occasion, a rock concert), zoos, aquariums, and museums...driving places where there's lots of trees and few people. When I'm staying in I like watching old movies, reading, playing silly and pointless board games, card games... other things like that. Generally I have a strong distaste for bars, clubs, and other noisy places where people are packed in like sardines (unless I'm onstage), although I will occasionally go to one of a few goth clubs when my feet get happy and need to dance. I'm sure most of that sounded fairly generic, but it is genuinely how I like to spend my time. If wanderlust or partying and drinking are a lifestyle to you, or if you dig tough guys who talk passionately about cars and sports, we're not a good match....

Many of the reasons I prefer the above activities to others is that I have bad social anxiety and general anxiety. It can be a hindrance more often than I'd like to admit. This means I need a lot of space and alone time, but that doesn't mean I'm neglectful or that I ignore the needs of others, just that I need to date people who can really understand and respect the needs of a cave-dwelling introvert....

I have a propensity for cynicism, and I take life far too seriously at times. But I will always try to find the laughter in any given situation (I'm Russian... I'll make you laugh no matter how miserable I am)....I go to goth clubs occasionally and I've got some friends there, but I'm by no means into any "scene" and I've got no desire to be part of any subculture whatsoever. It's just something I enjoy, not a lifestyle.
