The world spins around me in a rhythm of cosmic fear.
Time dances from one corner to the next and
whispers of an unravelling. A way of coming undone
right before my eyes yet far away from my sight,
leaving heavy footprints everywhere it lands.
Everything is madness. Everything is chaos.
My bones have never collided in tranquillity,
but this time I feel myself landing into a war
that's never crossed my soul before,
and it is terrifying. It is especially now when
I ache to hold and be held with love that
the world denies me every droplet of peace.
I hear them, these silent people hiding grimace
behind their masks. If we all would be allowed to scream,
I fear, the world would never know silence again.
